Plan commission extends temporary vehicle storage at World Outreach Center to Oct. 31, 2025

The Oak Creek Plan Commission on March 11 approved an extension of a long-term temporary vehicle storage permit allowing Rosen Automotive to store up to 300 vehicles at the World Outreach Center parking lot at 6912 South 20th Street through Oct. 31, 2025.
Todd, Department of Community Development staff, told commissioners the existing temporary vehicle storage permit expires the day of the meeting and the applicant seeks to continue the arrangement while Rosen Automotive’s dealership construction remains underway. He said the parking is located east and west of the building and showed photos of the current vehicle configuration.
Tim McMurtry identified himself on the record with the 6912 South 20 Seventh Street address and introduced Don Kramer of Rosen Automotive. Kramer told the commission that permit and permit-related setbacks delayed dealership construction and that the extension should allow construction to finish by Oct. 31. "We had a couple of setbacks with permits that put construction behind. It's definitely should be done by October 31," Kramer said.
Burke moved approval and set conditions limiting the storage to a maximum of 300 vehicles in striped stalls, prohibiting parking on grass or gravel, restricting delivery/removal hours to 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday–Friday, prohibiting sales from the storage area, prohibiting structures and added requirements for security fencing, lighting, signage, fire-lane clearance, and documentation of a lease or agreement between World Outreach Center and Rosen Automotive. The permit was approved by roll call and is set to expire Oct. 31, 2025; vehicles must be removed and the property restored within 14 calendar days after permit expiration.
Commissioners noted they had received no resident complaints during the permit period and said the arrangement helps both the church and the local business. One commissioner asked whether the new completion date is reliable; Rosen’s representative affirmed the Oct. 31 target.
