The Uintah County Commission handled multiple routine approvals during its March 25 meeting. The items below were presented, discussed briefly as needed, and approved by voice vote unless otherwise noted.
- Minutes: Commissioners approved minutes for March 11 (special), March 11 (regular—reference in record), March 12 work session and March 19 work session.
- Warrants: The clerk/auditor presented two warrant registers. The March 13 register totaled $155,082.31 and included contract reissues and election-equipment maintenance reimbursed by the state. A March 20 register totaled $534,744.76 and included payroll, contract payments, road-department charges and weekly dental and medical claims. The commission approved the warrants as presented.
- County Road backhoe rental: Scott Hartman of the Road Department presented the annual backhoe rental agreement for county road work (countywide operations except Buckskin Hills, which has separate arrangements). The commission approved the rental agreement as presented.
- Library OverDrive memorandum of agreement: The commission ratified a Library OverDrive member memorandum of agreement with the Department of Heritage and Arts (record lists contract identifier USL25-0083) and approved ratification as presented.
- Western Heritage Museum operating support grant: Lana Fulbright of the Western Heritage Museum presented an Operation Support Grant in the amount of $11,650 from the state Division of Arts and Museums. The commission ratified accepting the grant; Fulbright said $10,000 was already budgeted and the award will help with staff and operating expenses.
- Water element grant: Community Development presented a $10,000 Division of Water Resources grant to update the county general plan with a water element. Horrocks Engineering is the contracted consultant at $10,800; the county will cover the $800 remainder from Community Development funds. The commission approved the contract and grant acceptance as presented.
- Diamond Mountain Dragway rental agreement: Tourism staff presented the 2025 Diamond Mountain Dragway rental agreement; the commission approved it with a minor date-clarification to be made to the contract language.
All items were approved by voice vote with no recorded roll-call tallies in the meeting transcript. Staff noted the OverDrive MOA, museum grant and dragway contract had been previewed in prior work sessions.
