The council approved the 2025 capital appropriations, Resolution 2024‑R72 as amended, totaling $7,889,450. The funding items noted in committee included $2,151,000 for Arlington Road right-of-way acquisition; $1,600,000 budgeted toward a joint city–school district bus garage; $970,000 for the 2025 resurfacing program; $525,000 for new self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for the fire division; and $460,000 as the city’s portion of Masland Road resurfacing.
Council also adopted a lease for golf-cart and GPS equipment at the Raintree Golf and Events Center (Resolution 2024‑R76), approved the creation of a scholarship fund administered by the Green Schools Foundation using opioid settlement funds (Resolution 2024‑R78), and approved a lease with Summit County and the Summit County Sheriff for space at Fire Station No. 2 (Resolution 2024‑R81). In addition, Council adopted a resolution (2025‑R03) requesting the U.S. Postal Service assign a single, unified ZIP code identified exclusively with the City of Green.
Minutes and routine approvals: Council approved the Dec. 10, 2024 council meeting minutes (TMP 4819), the Jan. 6, 2025 council organizational meeting minutes (TMP 4848), and accepted the November 2024 electronic financial report subject to audit (TMP 4847). Committee procedural items included the Public Safety Committee’s motion not to request hearings on several liquor-license applications (TMP4850–TMP4854).
