Staff advised the change would allow the petitioner to divide roughly 3 acres for individual ownership; staff recommended approval and the commission carried the motion.
The commission also approved a rezoning at 2241 McCamish Road to allow a new manufactured home. Staff said the parcel was currently in R2 (low‑density single‑family) and the R5 district would permit the petitioner to replace an aging, nonlivable house with a manufactured home; the petitioner said the property has been in the family for about 70 years.
