Council approves planning commission recommendations for theater site plan and property division

The council approved a certified survey map to divide property at E 6352 Ski Hill Road (parcels cited in the packet) after the planning commission and town board recommended the split. Neil Faff of Vierbecker, who presented the item, said the sale involves approximately 0.65 acres that will be conveyed to adjoining owners and that the township had approved the division.
On the theater, planning staff presented a unanimous planning commission recommendation to approve an eyesight/site plan for a proposed movie theater at 220 Viking Drive. The project is a 66,225-square-foot building containing six screens, a total auditorium seating of 492 and an overall occupancy of 650. Faff said a lease agreement exists with an adjoining property owner to accompany parking because the plan shows minimal on-site parking, and the site’s Wisconsin DNR stormwater permit has been approved.
