Staff summarized available records noting renovations in 1981 (rear deck), 1993 (addition and basement expansion) and 2013 (demolition and rebuild of a garage). The packet included historical notes that Schluter donated land that later became Civic Park and portions of the public library site. Members discussed the on‑file plat and legal description and asked staff to pursue any additional material from the Dean House or Fairhaven company records.
Commissioners also used the discussion to pick priorities for further documentation and the upcoming walking tour. They agreed to advance the Schluter farmhouse, Ernie’s Trading Post, Nichols School and Heart Memories as properties to complete documentation for the tour and future files. No formal vote was required; staff will continue archival searches and file consolidation for the selected properties.
