The Spring-Ford Area School District board on March 24 reviewed the district's response to a March 16 incident at Royersford Elementary in which two underage individuals entered the building and vandalized classrooms, hallways and the cafeteria. School police identified the two actors within minutes after officers arrived and "both of those perpetrators are facing criminal charges," David Boyer, the district's chief of police, told the board.
The incident prompted an immediate safety assessment and repairs. Boyer said a November'December 2024 districtwide assessment funded through Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) grant money had already been completed by Largo Consultants on behalf of Cardinal Point Home Security; that review examined doors, protocols and other security measures.
