Oswego Common Council approves series of resolutions including $7.07M construction bid and West First Street contract amendments

The Oswego Common Council on March 24 approved a package of resolutions covering contracts, donations, a labor agreement and community events, voting 5-0 with two members recorded as excused on each item.

The measures passed included acceptance of a $7,069,115 construction bid from Griffinburg Construction Incorporated; two contract amendments with the CNS Companies Inc. for the West First Street safety improvement project totaling $661,750 ($25,750 for additional design services and $636,000 for construction administration); a four-year labor agreement with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 200 United effective Jan. 1, 2025; approval of a cable television franchise agreement; acceptance of a $6,500 donation from Delong Company Inc. to buy a special operations equipment trailer; and authorization for a $30,000 transfer from the general fund contingent account to the publicity account for central bus services.
