Committee OKs two-year extension for fish-cleaning contract at Wright's Landing and West Lanier Park

The Administrative Services Committee authorized the mayor to sign a two-year extension with J and R Outdoors Incorporated for fish-cleaning services at Wright's Landing and West Lanier Park.
City Attorney Kevin Caracoli told the committee the extension continues the existing fish-cleaning station contract under the same terms and a listed contract rate of $12,101 per year. "We had reached out to the contractor to see if they were interested in an extension. They indicated they were, so this is a proposal to extend that agreement for an additional 2 years at the same contract rate," Caracoli said.
The action before the committee was authorization for the mayor to sign the extension; the extension covers two additional years and Caracoli said it would "get us through 2026." Councilors moved and seconded the motion and the roll call vote recorded unanimous support for the authorization.
The committee did not discuss changes to service levels or additional oversight in the meeting record. The contract rate cited would total $24,202 over the two-year extension at the stated annual amount.
The committee moved on to other items after the vote; the contract extension will proceed to execution by the mayor.
