The Euclid Board of Control on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, approved a series of requisitions totaling $301,388.40 and announced two public bid openings for the 2025 pavement-marking and asphalt road programs scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The purchases approved by the board include chemicals and supplies for the wastewater treatment fund, road salt and de-icer for winter maintenance, professional oversight for a road resurfacing project, equipment parts and citywide beautification supplies. The board voted by voice on each item; no dissenting votes were recorded.
Board members first approved the minutes from the Jan. 27 meeting on a motion moved by Director Connect and seconded by Director Grogan Myers.

- Safe Built Ohio — $11,162.40 from the general fund for payment to Safe Built for the chief building official (payment due from December 2024). Motion approved by voice vote.
- Bonded Chemicals Inc. — $80,000 from the wastewater treatment fund to purchase citric acid under "ordinance 90 three-twenty 23" and contract number 5407 for use at the Lakeshore treatment facility. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Polydyne Inc. — $50,000 from the wastewater treatment fund for polymers used at the Lakeland plant (annual drawdown). Motion approved by voice vote.
- Cargill Inc., Salt Division — $100,000 from the State Highway Fund for clear-lane de-icer used during winter operations. Motion approved by voice vote.
- AOMWA (annual dues) — $16,681 from the wastewater treatment fund for the 2025 annual dues to AOMWA for representation of Euclid Water Reclamation at state and federal levels. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Steven Havancic & Associates — $9,800 from the street maintenance and construction fund for third-party oversight on Chardon Road resurfacing to satisfy ODOT requirements. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Best Buy Tire and Automotive Services — $10,000 from the general fund as a drawdown for tires for multiple departments. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Marshall Power Equipment — $8,000 from the general fund as a drawdown for parts for parks, streets, and nuisance departments. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Middlefield Farm & Garden — $10,000 from the general fund as a drawdown for parts for nuisance and parks equipment. Motion approved by voice vote.
- Urban Growers LLC — $5,745 from the general fund for the 2025 annual purchase of baskets, brackets and flowers used citywide in beautification. Motion approved by voice vote.
Board members also announced two items out to bid: the 2025–26 pavement-marking program and the 2025 asphalt road program. Both bid openings are scheduled for Feb. 18; bid documents are available through the service department and on the city website.
The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn by Councilwoman Hannum, seconded by Director Stevens. No additional business was raised.
