Mr. Ross told the board the district and consultants (including Honeycomb) are reviewing spaces and equipment in technology education courses to identify what can be reused and what must be replaced. Ross said the goal is to return to the public within roughly a month with more detailed plans and to ensure that the approximately $87,000,000 budget goes as far as possible.
Ross said the formal bid day will be open during the winter break but the actual bid-day event is expected in January; he anticipated about 100 vendors and contractors to visit and tour the facility. The administration said tariffs and equipment sourcing remain items under review, and that more detailed design work will bring additional specificity before bids are solicited.
Board members asked logistical questions about bid timing and vendor access. Administration said after design finalization the project will move to bid day and then to formal procurement.
