The Board of School Trustees approved several procedural and personnel items during its March 24 regular meeting.
The board adopted the evening's agenda on a motion by Ms. Latta, seconded by Mr. Vogt. The consent agenda — which included minutes from the March 10 meeting, claims and payroll subject to audit, field trip requests and homebound instruction requests — was approved on a motion by Ms. Slaughter, seconded by Mr. Vogt.
The personnel report was presented by Mr. DiPrimio, who confirmed that all recommendations had been processed with appropriate criminal-history background checks. The board accepted retirements from three staff members at the end of the school year: Sandy Book (20 years of service), Shane Kennedy (25 years) and Jill Sidebottom (18 years). The personnel report and recommended certified and classified hires were approved on a motion by Mr. Vogt, seconded by Ms. Chaffee.
Other routine items were processed through separate motions and voice votes during the meeting. All motions related to the consent, personnel and procedural items were approved by voice vote with board members answering "Aye."
