Contractors installed casework, specialty equipment and compressed‑air reels in technology rooms. A district representative said the wood‑shop spaces will be fitted with dust collector connections for each machine. For site work in phase 2, the district reported grading for a new softball field, foundations formed for the Florence Brasser main‑office addition and ongoing drainage and earthwork. The district noted tall field‑lighting poles are arriving; the tallest pole will be about 110 feet.
On project finances, presenters said the district is 67% billed for phase 1 work and about 8% billed for phase 2; the contingency overall had not changed and roughly $143,000 in allowances had been expended. Looking ahead, presenters said April work will focus on finishing roofing at the high school technology space, starting brick facade work, finishing ductwork and installing dust collection equipment and lighting so the space can be used for instruction.
Board members asked for follow‑up documentation at future meetings as phase 2 design phases are prepared for State Education Department (SED) review. Presenters said the next SED submission for the 2025 capital plan is slated for April, with subsequent stakeholder meetings and a December submittal planned for the next design package.
