The Peachtree City Planning Commission on March 24 approved exterior building elevations for a new office building at 455 North Lake Drive, city staff said.
Laura, city planning staff, told commissioners the property is in the GC (General Commercial) zoning district and that elevations previously approved in 2017 had changed enough to require fresh review. The applicant, Andrew Dean of Tomco Construction, said the design uses primary materials intended to meet the city’s architectural standards and that windows and clear anodized aluminum entry frames were proposed.
Commission discussion focused on details such as roof parapets and concealment of mechanical equipment. A commissioner asked whether rooftop mechanical equipment would be shielded by the parapet; Andrew Dean replied, “I believe that is a plan. Yes, sir.” Staff noted the front façade and side elevations meet the city’s material percentage requirements for primary building materials.
A motion to approve the submitted elevations carried by voice vote; commissioners signaled their approval by saying “aye.” The commission’s approval clears the project to proceed toward final review steps and building-permit processing, subject to standard permit submittals and inspections.
