Senate clears consent calendar and several ceremonial resolutions in March 25 session

The Delaware Senate on March 25 approved a series of noncontroversial and ceremonial measures on the consent calendar and by roll call.
Consent Calendar 8, read by title and containing three Senate Concurrent Resolutions — proclaiming April 2025 as Second Chance Month (Senate Concurrent Resolution 31), recognizing April 2025 as Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month (Senate Concurrent Resolution 34), and recognizing March 25, 2025 as Greek Independence Day (Senate Concurrent Resolution 36) — passed by recorded vote. The clerk announced the roll call and declared the consent calendar passed after the majority vote.
The Senate also adopted by roll call House Concurrent Resolution 21, recognizing March 25, 2025 as Women and Girls in STEM Day in Delaware. Senator Poe introduced honorees and called the names of the honored women and girls in STEM.
House Concurrent Resolution 25, designating March 25, 2025 as Equal Pay Day in the State of Delaware, also passed on the Senate floor; senators spoke in support and called for a roll call. Sponsors and speakers emphasized the wage gap’s disparate impact on women of color during floor remarks.
Separately, the reading clerk reported communications from the House that it had passed House Bill 74, House Bill 20, House Bill 21, House Bill 41 and that it was returning Senate Concurrent Resolution 30 to the Senate. Those communications were read into the record for the Senate’s information; the items will be considered according to the Senate calendar as appropriate.
All consent and ceremonial measures were recorded by roll call and declared passed; the clerk recorded the votes as recorded on the floor during the session.
