The Board of County Commissioners on March 25 granted a continuance to May 13 for a proposed small‑scale future land‑use map amendment and planned development rezone for Seminole Science School.
Annie Silaway, senior planner, said the applicant originally requested an April 22 continuance but has asked to move the hearing to May 13 to allow time for a follow‑up neighborhood meeting and to meet internal packet deadlines (staff’s agenda packet deadline was April 4). Brent Spain, the applicant’s representative, told the board the neighborhood meeting was scheduled for the evening of March 25 after an earlier scheduling conflict with a homeowners association and spring break.
Commissioners moved and seconded a motion to postpone items 27 and 28 to a time certain of May 13; the motion carried unanimously. The applicant and staff will return with revised materials for the May 13 packet per the county’s deadlines.
No public speakers were present on this item at today’s hearing.
