Weber County approves consent agenda including $3.71 million in warrants and multiple contracts

The Weber County Commission approved the consent agenda March 25, which included purchase orders, warrants, business licenses and several county contracts. Mr. Jason Horne presented the purchase-order and warrant summaries before the commission approved items F1 through F11 by unanimous voice vote.
Horne said there were 17 purchase orders totaling $159,255.47. Departments with the largest shares of purchase orders included roads (41% or about $65,000) for road materials and equipment rental, the library (19% or about $30,000) for carpet cleaning and building maintenance, and the transfer station (16% or about $25,000) for equipment repairs and fuel.
The warrant report covered 237 warrants totaling $3,710,521.05. Major warrant expenditures reported included Twelfth Street construction (26% or about $955,000), a conference center remodel (20% or about $726,000), medical services and custody costs (12% or about $454,000), paramedic services (8% or about $297,000), and library books and materials (6% or about $237,000). The top paid vendors listed in the presentation were Staker Parson ($922,000), Hogan and Associates ($705,000), Vital Core Health Strategies ($370,000) and Weaver Human Services ($230,000), with Ogden City Corporation at about $154,000.
Consent contracts and items approved included: ratification of a contract with Vegas Production, Inc., for the Jordan World Circus at the Golden Spike Events Center; a contract with Rocky Mountain Barrel Racing Association to hold jackpots at the Golden Spike Events Center; Amendment No. 3 to the contract with Vital Core Health Strategies LLC for inmate health care services at Weber County correctional facilities; ratification of change order No. 06 to the Wadman Corporation contract for construction of the Weber Morgan Children—s Justice Center; a cooperative agreement with Utah State University for extension services; and a right-of-way acquisition services contract with Kimley-Horn.
A commissioner moved to approve consent items F1 through F11 and the motion passed. No commissioners registered opposition during the vote.
