Planning commission denies RioBank conditional-use permit for 610 West Main

The Fredericksburg City Planning Commission voted to deny a conditional‑use permit request by RioBank to operate at 610 West Main in the Historic Shopping District.

RioBank representatives told the commission the building had historically been used as a bank and the company intends to staff the branch with local hires. “We always staff people of the community… we do not ship people in,” said Josh Collins, regional president for RioBank.
