Punta Gorda — The Utility Advisory Board elected Derek Rooney as chair and Aubrey Holden as vice chair by unanimous voice vote and approved the minutes from its Feb. 24, 2025 meeting.
Board members nominated and seconded the chair and vice-chair candidates during the March 24 meeting. The chair nomination was moved and seconded and passed by acclamation. The nomination for vice chair similarly received a second and passed after a voice vote. The board then voted to approve the Feb. 24 meeting minutes; the motion passed unanimously.
Why it matters: The chair and vice chair are responsible for running meetings in accordance with the board bylaws, enforcing public-comment procedures and signing approved minutes. The board will hold its next meeting on April 28, 2025.
