Mayfield Heights City Council on March 24 granted preliminary approval for a new retail building as part of the redevelopment of the former CVS property at 5901 Mayfield Road.
The approval allows the Landis Group to advance construction drawings for a roughly 5,000–5,500-square-foot brick retail building set near Mayfield Road and to return for final architectural and site-plan review. Ben Chhnacki, representing the Landis Group, said the firm adjusted plans after litigation and neighborhood concerns and reworked the site to better match the city's commercial corridor design guidelines.
