Plattsburgh Common Council approves multiple spending resolutions, contracts and a beer-garden permit; sets redistricting hearing

The Plattsburgh Common Council on Feb. 6 approved a slate of spending resolutions, vendor contracts and event permits across public works, water and sewer operations and parks, and set a public hearing on a proposed redistricting local law.

The action package included routine purchases for the wastewater resource facility and water-filtration plant, spending resolutions to begin resurfacing and storm-sewer design work, a dog-control contract and a beer-garden permit for the Chill on the Hill winter event at Fox Hill. Councilors also adopted a resolution urging the New York Power Authority to reconsider a multi-year demand‑charge increase.
