Votes at a glance: Newport council approves licenses, appointments, resolutions on Feb. 12

Key approvals and outcomes

- Vanderbilt Hotel ownership transfer and related licenses: Council approved transfer of the Class BT license to Vanderbilt OpCo LLC and granted entertainment licenses allowing indoor events daily and limited outdoor terrace activity (approved after public hearings).

- Special-event and vendors: Council approved multiple special-event licenses, including the Broadway Street Fair and Audrain ‘‘Cars and Coffee’’ events.
