Planning staff provided a brief series of updates on recent and ongoing projects around West Allis, including ribbon cuttings and active construction sites.
Staff announced a ribbon cutting for a new apartment building in the 6400 block of Greenfield Ave., a Planet Fitness now open in the town center occupying a former Experience Fitness space, and interior work underway at Pan Asia Grocery. Other active projects noted included framing at a North Shore Bank site, foundation work for a Checkers near Festival Foods, construction activity at the Deco Plaza project, and exterior improvements at 7113 W. National. Staff also reported progress at the DPW facility and that other private projects remain under construction or in permitting stages.
Commissioners thanked staff for the updates. No formal action or votes were required on these informational items.
