Planning staff presented a conditional-use request for a Toppers Pizza carryout and delivery restaurant at 11045 West National Avenue during the Feb. 11 hearing; the planning commission had already considered the application and reported no objections.
Planner Steve Sherwin said the proposed operation would be carryout and delivery only (no dine-in), with hours of operation from 10 a.m. into the early morning (staff cited 3 a.m. as closing time) and that the building’s full footprint is about 2,400 square feet with approximately 1,500 square feet to be occupied by Toppers. Parking and refuse areas exist on site and the property fronts the Home Depot shopping center.
Sherwin told the council that the location previously hosted a Toppers at a different site and the new tenant will occupy a portion of the building; he said plan commission review produced no objections to date.
Ending: No council or public questions were recorded at the hearing and the record shows planning staff will proceed with any remaining permit processing steps required for conditional-use approval.
