Richard Moore, who said he lives at 1233 Dove Street and is “the last house on Dove Street,” described recent winter visitor behavior that prevented him and neighbors from leaving their driveways and missing appointments. “They park anywhere they feel like it... we missed doctor's appointments because of that,” Moore told the committee during the public hearing.
Staff described the proposed ordinance as an extension of the existing no‑parking area to the property line adjacent to the resident’s driveway; the street width would still allow parking on other segments. The committee moved the amendment to extend the restriction, held a public hearing with resident testimony, and voted to approve the change.
