Staff said overall ridership and revenue were “up a little bit” in 2024 compared with 2023, though the summer months were slower. Regarding proposed changes to service hours, staff said they had sought input from the County Aging and Disability Resource Center board and plan to convene a focus group with interested stakeholders before bringing recommendations back to the committee, likely in February or March.
The service-hours discussion centers on preserving some Sunday-morning and early-evening service while potentially eliminating eight overnight service hours. Staff described the current plan as a compromise that would maintain key daytime service and reduce lower-ridership overnight hours; they emphasized the focus group will inform any final recommendation. Staff said they hope to hold the focus group before the February meeting so the committee can consider community input when reviewing any recommended adjustments to hours.
