Committee reports Common Council approved expanded paratransit hours effective April 1

City staff told the Transportation Committee on March 11 that the Common Council has approved updated paratransit service hours that will take effect April 1.
Under the approved schedule, paratransit hours will be 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays. Staff said they have received positive feedback to date and will work to educate riders about the change.
Staff also said they will track any issues that arise after the hours change and will assist riders who need overnight access to employment by evaluating their eligibility for job‑access programs and other resources. The committee did not take a formal vote on this item during the meeting; the staff report relayed a Council decision already made.
