The Keith County Board of Commissioners approved two routine extension‑related items: surplusing an unused mobile file cart and appointing Tony White of Paxton to the county extension board.
The board approved the surplus request after County Extension staff said the wheeled file cart was not needed by the office. The motion to surplus was made by Irvin and seconded by Wartman; the board approved the request by roll call.
The board also approved the county extension board appointment of Tony White, a farmer and rancher from Paxton who the extension educator characterized as active in 4‑H and local agricultural organizations. The appointment was approved by roll call after a motion by Anderson and a second by Schroeder.
Extension staff said they will deliver the annual report and impact summary to county stakeholders and distribute appointment paperwork to the new board member.
