Staff described potential project uses tied to the downtown comprehensive plan, including utility upgrades, accessibility improvements (ramps and crosswalks), decorative lighting and benches. Staff emphasized that the city would not be committed to specific projects or the match until invited to the second-phase application and that the initial resolution simply authorizes staff to apply for the first round.
A councilmember moved to approve Resolution 2025-19 and the motion passed. Staff will return with details if the city is invited to apply in the next phase of the program.
