Board renews College Credit Plus MOU with Cincinnati State; 26 Middletown students currently enrolled

The Middletown School Board approved its annual memorandum of understanding with Cincinnati State Community College for the College Credit Plus (CCP) program as part of the consent agenda on March 24.
District staff told the board the district has worked with Cincinnati State since CCP began and currently 26 Middletown students attend classes through that partner. Staff said Cincinnati State moved its local campus adjacent to MUM and offers CCP courses both on-site and virtually; staff also noted Cincinnati State charges the lowest allowable credit rate under state law.
Board members asked whether the district or Cincinnati State initiated the relationship; staff replied the partnership has been longstanding since CCP’s origin and that MOUs are renewed annually. The packet includes a list of courses available to Middletown students, which staff said appears as an attachment in the contract. The item was approved as part of the consent agenda.
