Hailey Berry of Glendale and Brian Murray of Flagstaff testified in support, saying the money would pay for de-escalation training simulators and pepper-ball equipment.
Committee members approved the Marshall amendment and adopted the bill as amended. The committee recorded 8 ayes, 6 nays and 1 absent and gave SB 13-68 a due-pass recommendation.
