Commission recommends annexation of 100.3 acres at 2585 E. Rusco Drive for industrial expansion

The Planning Commission on Feb. 4 recommended that the City proceed with annexation of approximately 100.3 acres at 2585 East Rusco Drive (the parcel historically referred to as the Colshire Farm) into the City of West Bend. The annexation was proposed by F Street Development and is intended to extend the city’s industrial park.
Staff said the City’s Land Use Plan designates the land for industrial use and that the proposed zoning would be industrial, consistent with the surrounding industrial park to the south and east. The recommendation is subject to state approval and final action by the Common Council.
A motion to recommend annexation to the council carried with no recorded opposition. Staff will forward the recommendation and undertake any state-required steps for annexation.
