Music on Main, Farmers Market and new downtown events draw crowds; BID reports attendance and dates

Noelle said the farmers market operates rain or shine with about 61 stalls and roughly 90–100 vendors present on a typical Saturday; some vendors occupy multiple stalls. The market is again allowing dogs this year under the association's current rules; the association plans to survey vendors about the practice.
Upcoming downtown events flagged to the board included a Late Night Luau on Friday, July 12 (19 retail shops committed to stay open 6 p.m.–midnight with entertainment at Old Settlers Park) and Wheels on Main on Sunday, Sept. 1, when organizers expect about 400–450 cars to line downtown streets.
Why it matters: the downtown association's events and market activity drive foot traffic that BID members cited as a positive sign for downtown economic activity. The board encouraged volunteer recruitment and business coordination for major events.
