The West Bend Board of Public Works approved an order on March 3 to remove, replace or repair sidewalks citywide under Contract 2504.
The order covers annual sidewalk work across the municipality rather than a single project corridor. "This is an order to remove and replace or repair sidewalks," said Max, a city staff member presenting the item, adding that one address on the order falls within the Kilbourne and Third Avenue project and will be handled under that separate contract. The board voted to proceed with the shared-cost process for property owners on slabs that qualify.
The board recorded a motion to approve moved by Alderman Allen and seconded by Alderman Sizer; the motion carried by voice vote.
The order allows the city to begin the standard process for ordering property owners to participate in cost sharing on qualifying sidewalk slabs and authorizes staff to proceed under Contract 2504. No dollar amounts or contractor names were specified during the discussion.
Being procedural and limited in scope, the vote did not include a detailed roll call in the public record beyond the voice vote that carried the motion.
