Recent work included chimney repairs and installation of a gas insert for the fireplace; plumbing for a kitchenette’s water supply and drain line has also been installed. Rick said a contractor will begin additional improvement work this fall, with concrete footing work planned before cold weather and most remaining work scheduled for winter and early spring. The projected completion date is May 1.
“Thank you to our donor,” Rick said when announcing the anonymous gift and the smaller contribution from the disc-golf club. The commission approved a motion to accept both donations by voice vote; the transcript records the motion, second and “aye” votes but does not provide a roll-call or an exact tally.
Staff said the $60,000 donation is designated for the Ridge Run Cabin renovation and will be applied to the ongoing contractor work, and the $180 gift will be set aside for future improvements to the Riverside disc-golf facility.
