The Winchester School Committee unanimously approved the consent agenda at the March 20 meeting, accepting several grants and approving student travel.
Items recorded in the consent vote included approval for Winchester High School students to attend the Massachusetts Junior Classical League state convention in Barnstable on April 11-12; acceptance of $3,200 from the Massachusetts State Treasurer's Financial Education Innovation Fund to support the WHS Credit for Life fair; acceptance of WIFI grants totaling $83,065; and acceptance of $4,570 from the Winchester Sports Foundation for WHS Unified Bowling.
A committee member asked the superintendent to provide additional detail on an AI professional-development item included in one of the grants; the superintendent agreed to forward further information to the committee.
The chair thanked the grant donors and singled out WIFI for ongoing support of educator and student innovation programs.
