At the March meeting the Cooke County Commissioners Court approved several agenda items by voice vote or recorded tally. Most items were routine or noncontroversial; outcomes are summarized below.
Proclamation — Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month: The court adopted a proclamation declaring April 2025 as Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month. Motion by Commissioner Snuggs; second by Commissioner Sikking. Vote: passed unanimously, 5-0.
Consent agenda: The court approved the consent agenda with one item (item M) pulled for separate consideration. Motion to approve consent agenda passed 5-0 with the exception noted.
Fire marshal reappointment (pulled item M): The court considered and approved the reappointment of Ray Fletcher as Cooke County Fire Marshal. Commissioners amended the appointment’s ending date to July 7, 2025, during the discussion. Motion to approve the reappointment as amended carried 5-0. Valley Glen RV Resort final plat (12841 I-35 Valley View): The court approved the final plat for Valley Glen RV Resort. Vote: passed 5-0.
Sanger 91 final plat (one lot development, 90.367 acres north of Chisholm Road): The court approved the final plat for Sanger 91. Vote: passed 5-0.
Bid specification for gasoline and diesel fuel: The court approved the bid specification to advertise for gasoline and diesel fuel supply for county use. Vote: passed 5-0.
