Mobile County school board approves multiple action, consent and personnel items; adds two late agenda items

The Mobile County Public Schools Board of Education on April 1 approved a package of action, personnel, consent and flow-through items and authorized settlement agreements while adding two late items to the agenda that were not vetted in the work session.

Board members voted to approve action items G1 through G20, followed later by approval of personnel items G21 through G30. The board also approved consent agenda items, flow-through items 1 through 6 (federal funds), and eight settlement/employment agreements. Several items were announced as late additions earlier in the meeting: G17, an easement to Alabama Power to provide power to a planned multipurpose building at Mayor B. Austin (described during the meeting as an easement to Alabama Power), and G19, a contract with the University of South Alabama to rent the Mitchell Center for a college career fair funded with federal funds for $10,875.
