Several members encouraged an initial board limited to one representative per district, with the committee and full council to revisit mission, membership rules and any additions of industry or technical advisers later.
The committee also directed staff to present the existing ordinance language (adopted November 16, 2015) that previously described board membership and to prepare a staff report and recommendation for the council meeting cycle. Growth Partners and other local economic stakeholders were discussed as potential overlapping bodies to coordinate with, rather than replace.
