One board member said the sign was "absolutely wonderful" while requesting the asterisks in the draft text be replaced with specific dates and names. The board also clarified that the approved wording as modified at the meeting would serve as the record for approval.
The motion to approve the historic marker as modified passed unanimously, 6-0. The approval included the placement detail (two feet off the sidewalk, within the planter) and an expectation that the final text be submitted to staff by email and confirmed prior to fabrication.
