The water department reported that the new water main on Route 9A is installed and currently undergoing testing and disinfection; once tests pass, buildings will be connected and the old main will be taken out of service. The department is preparing the 2024 annual water-quality report, the mayor said.
Staff also noted that registration for the Elmsford summer day camp remains open at elmsfordny.org/summer-camp, and that job applications for camp staff are being accepted. The police department’s new booking system (described in the meeting as the new “Ricky” booking system) has been installed and configured, and staff thanked IT support for the rollout.
Trustee Lopez raised a local quality-of-life complaint about large tree cuttings and landscape debris left at curbs by landscaping companies and asked whether the village can require removal rather than leaving debris for residents to manage. A staff member said code enforcement could be asked to issue a notice; no formal action was recorded in the transcript.
