Board ratifies sheriff's deputy and supervisor contracts and approves workers' compensation settlement

Commissioners then ratified the tentative reopener agreement with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Supervisors Association by roll call. Both ratifications authorize the board chair to sign the successor agreements upon approval as to form by county labor counsel.
Separately, the board approved redemption of workers’ compensation liability in the matter of Richard Martnick v. Kalamazoo County in the amount of $140,000. The motion to approve the settlement carried on a roll call recorded by the clerk.
