Springdale welcomes new chief building official and human resources administrator

During the communications portion of the Feb. 5 meeting, administration introduced two new staff members: Melissa Hayes, chief building official, who started in September, and Reneta Edwards, human resources administrator, who began in November.
Mr. Yule and Mr. Jacobs provided biographical details. Mr. Yule said Hayes holds a bachelor's degree in urban studies from the College of Charleston, a master's in public administration from Villanova, and is an American Planning Association certified planner with more than 20 years of experience including roles with the City of Las Vegas and the City of Montgomery. Hayes told council she looks forward to working with the city.
Administration introduced Reneta Edwards as the new human resources administrator with a bachelor's degree in human ecology from Ohio State and a master's in human resources; Edwards said she brings over 17 years of HR and payroll experience and that she and her family volunteer at local shelters. Council welcomed both employees.
