The Senate Transportation Committee voted to send the gubernatorial appointment of Paul Franz to the Idaho Transportation Board to the full Senate with a recommendation that he be confirmed.
Senator Hart moved to forward the nomination with a recommendation of confirmation, a motion seconded by Senator Burton Shaw. "I was impressed with his resume having been involved in heavy transportation projects and being a licensed engineer. I think he's the kind of person we need on the board," Senator Hart said in support of the nomination.
Committee members indicated no further discussion; the chair called for voice votes. Several senators voiced "aye," and the chair stated "motion carries."
The committee did not record a roll-call for the nomination in the transcript; the committee forwarded the nomination to the Senate floor with a recommendation of confirmation.
