Idaho Senate approves homestead, recreation-district and judicial pay bills; committee returns a slate of measures as amended

BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Senate on March 21, 2025 passed three House measures addressing homestead conveyance, dissolution of certain recreation districts and judicial compensation, and the Committee of the Whole returned a wide set of bills to the calendar as amended.

The Senate approved House Bill 150, a change to procedures for conveyance or encumbrance of homesteads owned as sole-and-separate property, and House Bill 102, which provides an alternative process for dissolving recreation districts that have seen large changes in their electorates. The chamber also passed House Bill 322, a measure that raises judicial salaries. All three bills were approved by roll-call votes on the floor.
