Ogden board announces administrative promotions and staff reassignments; consent calendar approved

The Ogden City School District board approved its consent calendar at the March meeting, and district leaders used the meeting to announce a series of internal administrative appointments and reassignments.

Vice President Anderson moved to approve the consent calendar; Board Member Peterson seconded the motion and the board approved it by voice vote. The consent calendar included routine items such as personnel actions.

District administrators then announced personnel changes. Alexi (Alexi) Flint was named assistant principal at Ogden High School after serving as an administrative intern and having worked previously as a guidance counselor and IB/AP coordinator. Caitlin McDonough, previously an instructional coach and elementary administrative intern at Liberty, was named assistant principal at Eastridge Elementary.

Administrators also described a set of internal reassignments to fill resulting openings: Jeff Martinez, currently an assistant principal at Mount Ogden, will move to Ben Lomond High (he previously taught there); Glenn Moon will move from Ogden High to Mount Ogden Junior High as assistant principal; Ben Mosher will move to Liberty Elementary; and Day Thomas Smith will transition out of her current role (described as a move/retirement/transfer in the discussion). The administration said these moves were designed to maintain leadership continuity and were the product of the district’s internal internship and growth pipeline.

Those announcements were presented as part of the superintendent’s personnel update and were included on the consent calendar the board approved earlier in the meeting. The new assistant principals addressed the board and thanked the district for the opportunity; staff said onboarding and transition details will be coordinated with school leadership and human resources.
