Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation donates $19,000 to local elementary schools and Teacher of the Year event

Mr. Pacheco of the Santa Teresa Charitable Foundation told the board the group would donate $3,000 apiece to Desert View Elementary, Riverside Elementary, Santa Teresa Elementary, La Union Elementary, Yucca Heights Elementary and Chaparral Elementary (six schools at $3,000 each totals $18,000) and $1,000 for the Teacher of the Year event, bringing the total to $19,000. Superintendent Dempsey and board members publicly thanked the organization for its support.
The presentation also included the foundation’s 2024 investment report for the district. The board did not take formal action on the donation during the meeting; the presentation served as recognition and public acknowledgment of the foundation’s contribution.
