‘Americans with No Address’ screening planned at Grand Theater as community engagement event

Craig, a task force member who spoke about the event, said the screening is scheduled for Tuesday night, March 25, and that organizers have invited about 10 to 12 agencies to host information tables after the film so audience members moved to act can speak with service providers immediately. He said early online RSVPs were strong, noting “in the first day of that being open, there was 98 people.”
Task force members said the timing was chosen to make it convenient for city and county elected officials to attend after their meetings and to encourage community engagement. Staff called the event an opportunity to show “there are effective things that we can do to address the crisis” of homelessness and to spur local conversations about solutions.
Organizers encouraged online RSVPs via the Grand Theater events page so staff can plan capacity and table staffing. The screening was presented to the task force as an educational opportunity rather than a formal policy action.
