Bibb County school board approves agenda items, personnel contracts, vendor payments and substitutes; nonrenewal request not approved

The Bibb County Regular School District board approved a series of routine and personnel items at its March 11 meeting, including the agenda, minutes, financial reports, a consent agenda block, personnel actions, principal contracts and multiple small vendor payments and substitute appointments. A proposed nonrenewal of a principal's contract did not proceed because no motion or second was made.

The superintendent recommended the agenda and minutes for the Feb. 11 meeting; board members voted to approve both. The board approved financial reports and bank reconciliations for February 2025 and authorized payment of bills and payroll for that month.

The superintendent recommended approval of consent agenda items a through m as a block; the board approved the block. Personnel consent items a through e were also approved as a block.

On personnel and contracts, the board approved principal contracts as follows: Kim Holsenbeck, principal at West Walton Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028; Kristen Leitzy, principal at Woodstock Elementary School, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028; and a renewal of the principal contract for James Austin at Bibb County High School, effective July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028.
