The Oklahoma County Planning Commission voted unanimously Friday to approve the general plat for Harvest Acres (GP-2025-02), a proposed nine‑lot subdivision on roughly 27 acres.
The commission’s action followed a presentation from staff noting the subdivision will not require new road construction and that the parcels will front Section Line Road. "This is a simple subdivision, 9 lots on roughly 27 acres. Will not need any road construction," a staff member said during the meeting.
Chris Campbell, who identified himself as representing Globus Development, said the larger property totals about 135 acres and the Harvest Acres portion is about 27 acres being subdivided into nine lots. "We're just using, you know, we have the full 135 acres of which this is 27 acres roughly being subdivided," Campbell said. He told commissioners the existing nearby homes are served by domestic wells, with flows reported in the meeting at about 10 to 12 gallons per minute for adjacent wells and 10 to 40 gallons per minute for three wells on the east side of the site.
Campbell also said the land immediately east of County Line Road contains warehouses in unincorporated Canadian County. The commission recorded no protest letters or inquiries on the file, and no members of the public spoke in opposition.
A motion to approve the general plat passed on a roll call vote: Rob Murray, Rob Talbot, Denise Patterson and Paul Foster all voted yes.
The commission did not identify any conditions attached to the approval at the meeting. The applicant and staff indicated no outstanding road construction work was required and that water availability had not been identified as an obstacle by adjacent property owners.
The approval closes the commission's consideration of the general plat; related technical work or any future preliminary plat or construction permits were not addressed in detail at this meeting.
